On November 30th and December 8th, 1941 - more than 25,000 Jews of the city of Riga were killed in the forest of Rumbula. Among them were about 1,000 Germans, Jews who had been deported to Riga.

In 1944 again Hundreds of Jews, who had to hide the traces of the massacre were killed.
