VÆRØY is an island in the North Atlantic, at the southern end of the Lofot-Islands, North of the Polar Circle.
Between the islands Röst, VÆRØY, Mosken, Svarvane and Moskenesöya
runs the MAELSTROM or the Moskenesstrømmen or the Moskenstraumen,
Europe's most powerful tidal current.
The soil for this project was dug from a mountain on the island at equal distances along the beach. Variations were neither possible nor intended.
